Standing Tall Ministries in Missions
Mexico...
Our initial outreach is through the Roca Blanca mission in southern Mexico. Through connection with the medical ministry of Laura Pratt, R.N., a full time missionary at the Corban Clinic on the Roca Blanca Mission Base, we have been traveling for a number of years to the state of Oaxaca to support the existing work of medical and evangelistic minstry. Standing Tall Ministries will continue to sponsor trips to minister to the Chatino and Mixteco Indian people high in the mountains of the state, as well as to the Spanish-speaking people along the coastal region. Along with the mission service, those who travel there are ministered to by the love and God-hunger of the native people. Experiences in worship enhance the personal interaction and actual work that is done on behalf of the Mexican people. Anyone interested in making one of these trips is welcome to make application, regardless of medical training or background. There is always plenty to be done for those who have no medical understanding. Other types of mission emphases in this area are possibly forthcoming.
Ukraine. . .
At the invitation of Alexander Merzliakov, pastor of Living Faith United Methodist Church in Lungansk, Ukraine, Dale and one traveling companion made the initial trip for evangelistic ministry in November 2004. A relationship was begun and an open invitation now exits for Standing Tall Ministries to come as often as available to share the gospel with the beautiful people of this former soviet country. We have now made three trips into this area to evangelize the lost, encourage and teach the believers, and to build up the churches where we minister. Future ministry plans include sports camps, music training, work project teams, and English classes, all as a way to reach the people with the Gospel of Jesus. Presently we are looking for young adults who might be interested in going to Ukraine for 6 months to one year to work in any of these areas, as well as those who would be interested in making short-term trips. Anyone who has a particular interest in being a part of a short term or longer term mission work in Ukraine, should contact us at Standing Tall Ministries.
Africa. . .
At the invitation of the Cecil Williamson Ministry in Evangelism, Dale traveled in February and March of 2006 to the African nations of Ghana and Nigeria, with the distinct purpose of holding evangelistic crusades and planting new churches. The team of ministers was hundreds come to Christ, many more receive physical healing, and 21 new churches planted. On-going relationships were built that will expand the outreach of Standing Tall Ministries in the future, and we will continue to partner with Cecil Williamson to begin an ongoing work in the continent of Africa. Those interested in ministry in Ghana or Nigeria, particularly ministers who are interested in crusade evangelism, should contact us for more information.
Columbia. . .
In September of 2006 Dale will make his first trip in the nation of Columbia, as he travels to the Amazon region with Evangelist Michael Morelli and three other ministers. 1000's of ministers are expected to walk, come by boat, and by any means available to attend several days of intense training and public evangelistic/miracle crusades. Dale will be teaching in the daytime training sessions and assisting in the ministry at the evening crusades. .
Philippines. . .
With the move of missionary friend Brad Clere to the Philippines in 2006, mission opportunities will be forthcoming for Standing Tall Ministries. Brad's specific ministry will be equipping ministers and leaders through the Antioch Bible training school, but with a passion for reaching the world for Jesus Christ, the sky is the limit to what may arise out of this covenant relationship, which began when Dale met Brad in Mexico in 2002. Dale plans to be in Angeles, Philippines to teach for a week in the school sometime in 2007. Again, more will be shared as this opportunity unfolds.
Missionary Support . . .
In addition to missionary travel, Standing Tall Minsitries also supports various mission efforts financially. Primary in that is the support Andrej Romenchenko, a Ukrainian street evangelist, who is supported solely by Standing Tall Ministries. Andrej spends his days preaching and sharing on the streets of Lugansk, Ukraine. In our recent trip to Lugansk, we met three men who had become a part of the church there, who were won to the Lord through Andrej's ministry.
We also support financially the work of Brad Clere at the Antioch Bilble School in Angeles, Philippins and the work of Ecclesia College in reaching the nation of China through the support of underground churches and house-church leaders.
Other Foreign Missions. . .
Other mission opportunities continue to present themselves, particularly for Dale to go into other countries as an evangelist and preacher. As time in the states is still the number one priority of this ministry, the goal will be to make four trips per year into other nations of the world. As God opens the doors and provides the means, we will go wherever we are called.
Local Free Clinic. . .
The Gaines Chapel Free Medical Clinic began as a result of Dr. and Mrs. Leonard Pratt's desire to reach the needy of the Corinth community who could not afford medical treatment and medication. As a result of experiences in Mexico, various ones volunteered to get involved to expand the local clinic. Soon the patient load outgrew the facilites at the Lighthouse Foundation, the origianal site of the clinic, and it was moved to Gaines Chapel Church. Held on the second Saturday of each month, the clinic now provides care and medication for approximately 100 patients per month. Services include medical care from a doctor and/or nurse practitioner, dietary counseling, pharmacy services, pharmaceutical company representatives who help with discounted medicines, and spritual counseling and personal prayer. Standing Tall Ministries is pleased to be a part of this local free clinic when Dale is in town, and usually provides the spiritual care for the patients.
